Perianal abscess is most afraid of three things

Perianal abscess is an acute infection phenomenon in which pus-filled sacs appear around the anus. The most feared problems include aggravated infection, repeated attacks and improper self-treatment. Aggravated infection may lead to systemic diseases, repeated attacks will cause great inconvenience to life, and improper self-treatment may worsen the condition.

Perianal abscesses are usually caused by anal gland obstruction or bacterial infection, and are more common in male patients. In daily life, factors such as long-term sitting, unhealthy diet, constipation, and low immunity may increase the risk of its occurrence. Since the symptoms of perianal abscesses are mostly perianal pain, redness, swelling, and fever, you need to be vigilant to avoid delaying treatment.

For this disease, once redness, swelling and pain are found around the anus, early intervention should be made. Generally speaking, small abscesses in the early stage can be relieved by home care methods such as warm compresses and keeping the anus clean, but if the symptoms do not improve or even worsen, self-treatment must be stopped and medical attention must be sought immediately. Excessive delay may lead to the spread of infection or the formation of more serious complex diseases, such as anal fistula.

It is extremely important to pay attention to the cleanliness around the anus and maintain a good diet and lifestyle. Eating more high-fiber foods and avoiding spicy irritants can help prevent constipation. Regular exercise to strengthen your physical fitness can also reduce the risk of infection. If symptoms have already occurred and you have received treatment, it is best to follow the doctor's advice, pay attention to postoperative care, and do regular check-ups. Any discomfort should not be handled by yourself, but consult professional medical staff in a timely manner to obtain scientific and reasonable guidance.
