Breast cyst acupuncture 10 days still painful

Breast cyst acupuncture 10 days still painful

If breast cysts still feel painful after 10 days of acupuncture, it may be that the effect has not been shown or the condition has not improved. You need to recheck as soon as possible to find out the cause and adjust the treatment plan. The persistence of pain may be related to inflammation not being eliminated, cyst enlargement, improper acupuncture method or other potential disease factors.

Breast cysts are common benign lesions in women, and some cysts can cause pain or discomfort. For mild cysts, acupuncture can relieve symptoms by dredging meridians and promoting local blood circulation, but the efficacy varies from person to person. If the pain persists after 10 days, it may be caused by the following reasons: 1. The cyst is deep or large, and acupuncture is difficult to work effectively; 2. Local inflammatory stimulation causes neuralgia; 3. Acupuncture techniques, acupoint selection or frequency are not suitable for personal conditions; 4. Other combined conditions such as breast fibroadenoma or even early breast cancer. If the symptoms worsen, ultrasound, breast mammography and other imaging examinations should be combined to exclude malignant lesions. After the cause is determined, treatment can be selected from multiple options, such as oral anti-inflammatory analgesics (such as ibuprofen, etc.) through drug treatment, or taking traditional Chinese medicine for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis (such as Guizhi Fuling Pills) in traditional Chinese medicine. For simple cysts with more cystic fluid, cystic fluid puncture and aspiration can also be selected, combined with injection of sclerosing agent if necessary.

To avoid worsening symptoms, patients are advised to seek help from a professional doctor for reexamination as soon as possible when the pain is obvious or the condition has not been cured. In daily life, patients should eat more light and warm foods and avoid high-fat and spicy foods; wear a suitable bra to reduce breast squeezing; moderate exercise such as walking and yoga can help improve blood circulation, but avoid strenuous exercise. If acupuncture is needed as an auxiliary treatment, the qualifications of professional acupuncturists should be clarified to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the treatment.
