Can I take Shengui Pills for cervical spondylosis?

Patients with cervical spondylosis can take Shengui Pills, but they must be used under the guidance of a doctor and combined with other treatments to improve symptoms. Shengui Pills have the effects of replenishing qi and blood, relaxing muscles and activating collaterals, and can help relieve fatigue and discomfort caused by cervical spondylosis, but they cannot directly treat cervical spondylosis itself. Cervical spondylosis is mainly related to factors such as aging, long-term poor posture, and chronic strain, and treatment requires comprehensive treatment.

1. Drug treatment: Shengui Pills can be used as an auxiliary medication, and can be used in conjunction with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and diclofenac sodium to relieve pain, or muscle relaxants such as eperisone hydrochloride can be used to relieve muscle tension. Traditional Chinese medicine such as Jingfukang Granules and Tianma Pills can also be used as auxiliary treatments.

2. Physical therapy: hot compress, infrared irradiation, ultrasonic therapy, etc. can promote local blood circulation and relieve pain and stiffness. Cervical traction can relieve nerve compression symptoms and should be performed under the guidance of a professional doctor.

3. Exercise rehabilitation: Cervical spine exercises such as neck stretching and rotation exercises can strengthen the neck muscles and improve cervical spine stability. Low-intensity exercises such as yoga and Pilates can also help relieve symptoms.

4. Adjust your lifestyle: Avoid lowering your head or maintaining the same posture for a long time, use ergonomic pillows and chairs, and move your neck regularly. Keep your neck warm and avoid getting cold.

The treatment of cervical spondylosis requires long-term persistence. Shengui Pills can be used as an auxiliary conditioning method, but more important is comprehensive treatment and daily care, regular check-ups and adjustment of treatment plans according to the condition to delay disease progression and improve quality of life.
