What are the treatments for sports-related osteoarthritis?

Sports osteoarthritis is a sterile inflammatory reaction that occurs in the joints, causing joint pain, stiffness, and limited mobility. The disease occurs in the patient's knees, hips, and cervical spine, and affects the patient's ability to work. As can be seen, the disease is relatively complex, and treatment cannot be delayed after the joints become ill. The following methods are effective in treating sports osteoarthritis.

1. Drug treatment:

For patients with mild sports-induced osteoarthritis, oral medications can be used, such as glucosamine sulfate capsules, which can play an anti-inflammatory and analgesic role, thereby helping patients restore joint function. This product should be taken with meals, and patients should take it three times a day. In severe cases, it should be taken continuously for 4 to 12 weeks. Some patients may have adverse allergic reactions after taking the medicine, and those with severe conditions should stop taking it as soon as possible.

2. Surgical treatment:

If the patient's condition is serious and affects joint function, artificial knee replacement should be considered to improve joint movement disorders and relieve joint pain and deformity. However, after the operation, you should pay more attention to rest and avoid strenuous exercise, otherwise it will increase the burden on the damaged joint and aggravate the patient's condition.

3. Nursing treatment:

Patients with sports-induced osteoarthritis should control their weight to reduce joint load and thus delay joint degeneration. During the recovery period, they should avoid improper movements or exercise to avoid worsening symptoms of joint injury; they should arrange their diet reasonably, ensure a diversified diet, and supplement more high-protein foods, but reduce severely irritating foods.

The above three points are the treatment methods for sports-induced osteoarthritis. It can be seen that the disease is very small, the joint damage is serious, and it affects the patient's daily life. Once it occurs, targeted treatment can be carried out in combination with joint damage. Each patient should not be overly fatigued, pay attention to more rest, and arrange daily diet reasonably.
