What are the symptoms of breast cysts?

Symptoms of breast cysts include palpable lumps in the breast, a feeling of fullness and pain, and breast swelling and discomfort. If these symptoms worsen or are accompanied by other abnormalities, you should seek medical attention promptly.

Breast cysts are small fluid-filled vesicles in the breast, usually round or oval in shape, and may be distributed in one or multiple locations. Typical symptoms include a localized breast lump that feels smooth and moves, and swelling and increased tenderness may occur before menstruation. If the cyst is large, it can cause slight changes in the appearance of the breast, but most cysts are benign. Some patients may not have any symptoms and the cysts are only discovered accidentally during examination. If the cyst compresses the mammary duct or is accompanied by infection, it may cause nipple discharge or local redness and swelling; if it becomes hard, fixed, or accompanied by persistent pain, you need to be alert to the risk of other lesions.

You should pay attention to breast self-examination, especially 3-5 days after the menstrual cycle, to feel the changes in the cyst volume. Reduce the intake of high-fat and high-salt foods, and eat more foods rich in dietary fiber and vitamins, such as green vegetables and whole grains. Avoid emotional tension and excessive stress, maintain a regular schedule and exercise appropriately. If the cyst symptoms are obvious or accompanied by abnormalities, it is recommended to see a doctor under the guidance of a doctor, and confirm the diagnosis through ultrasound examination. If necessary, you can choose puncture and fluid extraction, drug regulation or surgical removal of the cyst.
