Severe breast cysts usually manifest as severe or persistent breast pain, obvious local lumps, rapid enlargement of the lumps, and may be accompanied by redness of the skin, warmth to touch, or abnormal nipple secretions. It is recommended to see a doctor as soon as possible for a detailed examination to determine the cause and intervene in time. Breast cysts are fluid capsules within breast tissue. Severe cases often occur when the cysts are too large to compress surrounding tissues, or when they are accompanied by pathological changes such as infection and inflammation. For example, an infected breast cyst may present with significant local redness, swelling, suppuration, and even systemic symptoms such as fever or chills. Certain special circumstances, such as changes in cyst contents (bloody, turbid fluid) or atypical edge features, may also indicate the possibility of malignant lesions. Unlike mild cysts, severe breast cysts usually cannot be relieved on their own through routine observation. Intervention for breast cysts needs to be based on symptoms and causes. First, if the cyst causes obvious discomfort, doctors can usually extract fluid through fine needle aspiration to quickly relieve pain and pressure. Second, for cysts accompanied by infection, antibiotic treatment such as amoxicillin or cephalosporins can control inflammation. Third, if the cyst recurs or is suspected of being malignant, mastectomy may be recommended. In daily care, the breasts should be kept clean and hygienic, and irritating pressure should be avoided. At the same time, ultrasound examinations should be performed regularly. Women, especially when periodic pain is obvious, can adjust hormone balance with a low-fat diet and avoid caffeine stimulation. If you find that the symptoms of breast cysts are significantly worsening, whether it is uncontrollable pain or any atypical signs, you should go to the breast department immediately for evaluation by a specialist and undergo further biopsy or imaging tests as needed to rule out potential malignant risks. |
