Will breast nodules disappear on their own at the age of 57?

Breast nodules generally do not disappear on their own, and women over 57 years old, in particular, need regular monitoring and evaluation under the guidance of a doctor.

Breast nodules are small lumps formed in breast tissue due to local hyperplasia or abnormal growth. Most of them are benign lesions, such as fibroadenomas and breast cysts, but they may also be related to breast cancer. For women, the older they are, the more attention they need to pay to breast health, especially after menopause, when fluctuations in hormone levels may make some breast problems more complicated.

Some breast nodules, such as functional cysts, may shrink with hormone changes, but most solid nodules will not disappear. What needs to be considered are the size, texture, and whether the edges of the nodules are clear, as well as the risk of malignant transformation assessed by ultrasound, mammography, and other examination methods. If the nodules are rapidly increasing in size, hard in texture, poor in mobility, or accompanied by abnormalities such as skin dimpling and nipple discharge, special vigilance should be exercised.

It is recommended that women aged 57 should seek medical attention for detailed examinations if they find breast nodules. Doctors may recommend regular imaging follow-up or choose biopsy to clarify the nature of the nodules according to the actual situation. In daily life, maintaining a healthy diet, staying away from high-fat and high-sugar foods, exercising moderately, controlling weight, and avoiding excessive exposure to environmental hormones (such as low-quality plastic products or hormone health products) can all help protect breast health.
