Is grade 2 breast cyst serious?

Is grade 2 breast cyst serious?

Grade 2 breast cysts are usually not serious and are basically benign. There is generally no need to worry too much, but they do require regular observation and intervention when necessary.

Breast cysts are fluid cysts formed in breast tissue, most of which are related to hormone fluctuations and breast hyperplasia. According to the classification of ultrasound images, breast cysts are divided into different grades. Grade 2 is a "benign change" and is usually characterized by clear boundaries, regular shapes, and no or low echoes inside. This is usually harmless. However, if the cyst is large, breast tenderness or mild discomfort may occur.

Although grade 2 cysts do not require medication or surgery in most cases, they need to be monitored regularly with breast ultrasound, especially to see if the cysts grow larger or change in texture or shape. If the cysts compress surrounding tissues and cause significant discomfort, your doctor may recommend aspiration of fluid or other minimally invasive methods. If the cysts are accompanied by significant breast hyperplasia, localized lumps in the breast, or increased pain, a more detailed evaluation is needed.

In daily life, it is recommended to maintain a regular schedule, avoid staying up late and frequent mood swings; eat a balanced diet, eat more foods rich in vitamins and dietary fiber, such as fresh fruits and vegetables; reduce the intake of irritating foods and strong tea and coffee, which can help alleviate the oversensitivity of breast tissue to hormones. If any abnormal changes in the breast are found, consult a professional for evaluation and treatment in time to help prevent the development of a complicated situation.
