Symptoms of recurrent perianal abscess

Symptoms of recurrent perianal abscess

The recurrence of perianal abscess often manifests as local redness, swelling, heat and pain, and in severe cases, it is accompanied by fever, general discomfort and other symptoms. For this problem, if the recurrence is obvious and frequent, it is key to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Perianal abscess is a common infectious disease around the anus, and its main causes are related to bacterial infection, low immunity and poor personal hygiene habits. Usually, the infection occurs in the glands or perianal tissues around the anus, leading to local purulent infection.

If an abscess recurs, you may notice that the lump becomes more noticeable or even breaks open under pressure, oozing pus. Signs of recurrence often include symptoms that persist after treatment or reappear after a period of resolution. In this case, not only is there local pain, but walking, sitting, and other activities may be limited. Chronic pain may affect quality of life, and complications such as the spread of infection may occur.

In order to alleviate symptoms and avoid recurrence, it is important to maintain good personal hygiene. It is recommended to use warm water sitz bath to clean the anus, improve local blood circulation and relieve discomfort. In terms of diet, increasing dietary fiber intake to improve bowel movements is also helpful in preventing recurrence. At the same time, avoid sitting for long periods of time to reduce pressure on the abscess site. Regular physical examinations may seem irrelevant, but they are also an effective way to understand your own health status. If the above suggestions are still unable to effectively control symptoms, you should seek professional medical advice as soon as possible.
