What is the cause of breast hyperplasia?

Breast hyperplasia is usually caused by hormone fluctuations, which leads to breast tissue hyperplasia and edema. It is common in women of childbearing age and can be relieved by adjusting lifestyle, medication or surgical intervention. Breast hyperplasia is the response of breast tissue to hormonal changes, which manifests as breast pain, lumps or nodules. Most of them are benign lesions, but malignant possibilities must be ruled out.

1. Hormone level fluctuations are the main cause of breast hyperplasia. During the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, lactation or menopause, the levels of estrogen and progesterone in women's bodies change greatly, which can easily stimulate breast tissue hyperplasia. Long-term mental stress, irregular work and rest, unhealthy diet and other factors may also aggravate the symptoms. It is recommended to keep your emotions stable, avoid staying up late, and reduce the intake of high-fat and high-sugar foods.

2. Treatment of breast hyperplasia can start with lifestyle adjustments. Wear appropriate underwear to avoid breast pressure; do appropriate aerobic exercises, such as walking and yoga, to promote blood circulation; eat more fiber-rich foods, such as vegetables and fruits, and reduce the intake of stimulating drinks such as coffee and alcohol. These measures can help relieve breast pain and discomfort.

3. Drug treatment is a common method to relieve breast hyperplasia. Doctors may prescribe hormone-regulating drugs, such as tamoxifen and danazol; or use Chinese patent medicines, such as Rupixiao and Xiaoyao Pills, to help relieve symptoms. For patients with obvious pain, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen, can be used for a short period of time. Drug treatment should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor, and self-medication should be avoided.

4. Surgical treatment is suitable for cases with severe symptoms or suspected malignancy. If breast hyperplasia is accompanied by large lumps or nodules, and imaging examinations cannot rule out the possibility of malignancy, the doctor may recommend surgical removal. Common surgical methods include breast lumpectomy, breast segmental resection, etc. Regular follow-up examinations are required after surgery to monitor breast health.

Although breast hyperplasia is mostly benign, it needs to be taken seriously and timely medical treatment for a clear diagnosis. Combining lifestyle adjustments, drug treatment or surgical intervention can effectively relieve symptoms and reduce the risk of malignant lesions. Regular breast examinations are the key to preventing and early detection of breast diseases.
