Acupoints to be selected: Shenshu, Ganshu, Spleenshu, Yaoyangguan, Zusanli, Diaphragmshu, Jinsuo, Jiaji, Jianjing, Baliao and Ashi points which are the tender points of local lesions.

Techniques: kneading, pressing, plucking, holding, rubbing, tapping, etc.

Order of operations:

1. The patient lies prone, and the operator uses the palm or thenar and hypothenar eminences to gently knead, rub, push, and massage the lesion area and its surroundings for about five minutes to accelerate local blood circulation and dredge the meridians.

2. Use your folded palms or the base of your palms to massage the affected area and the surrounding area with slightly greater force for about three minutes to fully relax the local muscles.

3. Press the local acupuncture points and tender points, Ashi points, for about two minutes each to unblock Qi and blood and relieve pain.

4. Use the thumb or back joint to repeatedly pluck, press, push and stroke the affected area with strong force for about five minutes. For positive reactions such as bulging, stiffness, thickening, nodules and lumps, you can focus on treatment, following the circulation direction of the muscle and tendon, pluck left and right, press back and forth, push and stroke up and down to straighten the muscle and tendon and eliminate stagnation.

5. Use the thumb, index and middle fingers of both hands to lift and pluck the tendons three to five times. This can help separate adhesions and relieve spasms.

6. Rub, knead, and rub the affected area with your palms, and tap back and forth with your empty fists for about five minutes to further dredge the meridians and blood, and relieve symptoms such as numbness and contracture.
