How to treat ankylosing spondylitis

Ankylosing spondylitis is a clinically diverse disease with serious hazards. If it is not effectively treated, it will face the risk of disability, leading to impaired spinal function, pain, swelling, stiffness and deformity. It can be seen that ankylosing spondylitis cannot be ignored, and patients should be given targeted treatment after the onset of the disease. So what is the method of treating ankylosing spondylitis?

1. Oral medication:

Diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets are an oral drug that has a significant therapeutic effect on ankylosing spondylitis, can control the progression of the patient, and relieve spinal pain and other symptoms. Every patient should take it with warm water after dinner, and pay attention to swallowing it whole, remember not to break or chew it. If the patient takes this product in large doses, it is easy to have a decline in renal function, etc., and in severe cases, it is not advisable to continue taking this product for treatment.

2. Surgical treatment:

If the condition of ankylosing spondylitis continues to progress and affects daily activities, surgical methods should be selected according to the degree of spinal damage. Surgery can promote functional recovery of the damaged spine, thereby improving the patient's quality of life. However, for patients with severe disabilities and deformities, spinal correction should be considered and postoperative care should be provided.

3. Nursing treatment:

Patients with ankylosing spondylitis should eat a light diet and maintain dietary hygiene. Remember not to overeat, otherwise it will affect health recovery. For patients with severe spinal pain, they should adhere to long-term drug treatment and understand the relevant principles and dosage of drug treatment. Only by standardizing medication can the ideal treatment effect be achieved.

The above three methods are used to treat ankylosing spondylitis. It can be seen that this disease is particularly complicated and will involve spinal function, resulting in a decline in the patient's quality of life. The treatment time should not be delayed, and medication, surgery and other treatment methods should be selected according to the spinal injury. Every patient must adjust their mentality, cooperate with the doctor's treatment, and pay attention to the care of the damaged spine.
