How to treat lumbar muscle strain

How to treat lumbar muscle strain

Lumbar muscle strain is a common lumbar disease, mainly manifested as lumbar pain, limited movement, etc. It can be relieved through lifestyle adjustments, exercise rehabilitation, drug therapy, physical therapy, surgical treatment and other methods.

1. Lifestyle adjustment: Whether you are working or studying, you should avoid maintaining a posture for a long time, especially sitting or standing for a long time. You should also avoid getting your waist cold and keep warm. When carrying heavy objects, you should avoid bending over and squat to carry them to reduce damage to your waist.

2. Sports rehabilitation: You can do back muscle function exercises, such as three-point support method, five-point support method, etc., which can enhance the strength and endurance of the waist muscles and prevent the recurrence of waist muscle strain. At the same time, doing waist stretching exercises during work or study can also relieve the tension of waist muscles and prevent waist muscle strain.

3. Drug treatment: Commonly used drugs include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as celecoxib capsules, etoricoxib tablets, diclofenac sodium enteric-coated tablets, etc. These drugs can relieve pain and inflammation. At the same time, muscle relaxants such as eperisone hydrochloride tablets can also be used to relax tense muscles.

4. Physical therapy: such as hot compress, can promote local blood circulation and relieve pain. At the same time, combined with infrared heat therapy, microwave therapy, ultrasound therapy, electromagnetic therapy and other physical therapy methods, can play the role of anti-inflammatory, analgesic and promoting blood circulation.

5. Surgical treatment: For patients who do not respond to conservative treatment, acupuncture knife treatment can be considered, which can loosen the tense and spasmodic muscles in the waist, improve local circulation, reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and improve the mobility of the waist.

Note: The use of drugs must be in accordance with the doctor's instructions. Do not take drugs privately to avoid adverse effects. Also relax your mind and do not put too much psychological burden on yourself. If you feel uncomfortable, you can seek medical help as soon as possible.
