How are aneurysmal bone cysts treated?

Curettage and bone grafting are the main treatment methods. The possibility of heavy bleeding should be fully estimated before surgery. Radiotherapy is effective in areas that are difficult to remove surgically, such as the spine, but radiotherapy for children carries the risk of epiphyseal injury and malignant changes. If the upper limb joints are severely damaged, prosthetic replacement can be considered.

3. The original giant cell tumor of bone recurred locally after the first scraping, and the pathological biopsy report still belonged to Ⅰ~Ⅱ without malignant enchondroma, chondromyxoid fibroma, abnormal proliferation of some bone fibers, etc.

Bone transplantation is the transplantation of bone tissue to the patient's bone defect, part that needs to be strengthened or fused. Due to different bone sources, it is divided into autologous bone transplantation and allogeneic bone transplantation. With the advancement of refrigeration equipment and aseptic preservation technology, allogeneic bones are now stored in bone banks. Commonly used areas include bone defects, nonunion of fractures, filling of cystic lesions or cavities left after curettage of benign tumors, spine and joint fusion. Autologous bone transplants can be taken from the anterior, medial, middle, upper fibula, iliac wing, ribs and distal healthy bones.

What do patients eat more?

Jujube, hawthorn, apricot, bayberry, and purple eggplant are the richest in vitamin P. Especially purple eggplant, which contains more than 7.2 grams of vitamin P per kilogram. It is a good choice for patients with aneurysms to eat foods rich in vitamin P.
