How to treat grade 3 breast cyst

How to treat grade 3 breast cyst

Grade 3 breast cyst is a clinically more serious type of breast lesion and requires medication, non-surgical and, when necessary, surgical treatment based on the condition of the disease, as well as lifestyle adjustments and regular check-ups to avoid further deterioration of the disease.

1. Drug treatment: reducing inflammation and hormone regulation

Breast cysts are often related to changes in hormone levels in the body. Drug regulation can relieve symptoms and even reduce the size of cysts.

- Hormone regulating drugs: Anti-estrogen drugs such as tamoxifen can reduce estrogen stimulation in the breast. These drugs must be used strictly according to the doctor's instructions to avoid side effects.

-Analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs: If the cyst causes inflammation or pain, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen can be used for a short period of time.

- Vitamin E or Chinese medicine conditioning: Some studies have shown that vitamin E supplementation can have a certain regulatory effect on breast health. At the same time, Chinese medicine such as Xiaoyao Pills are also effective in improving qi stagnation and blood stasis under the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, but they must be used under the guidance of a doctor.

2. Non-surgical treatment: aspiration or minimally invasive intervention

Nonsurgical treatments can reduce the size of the cyst and relieve symptoms in some people.

-Cyst aspiration: Under image guidance, a thin needle is inserted into the cyst to extract the fluid. This method is suitable for cases where the cyst is large and there are obvious symptoms but no signs of malignancy. Aspiration can relieve compression symptoms and can also be used to further analyze the properties of the cyst fluid.

-Minimally invasive interventional therapy: Microwave ablation, radiofrequency therapy and other methods are performed under ultrasound guidance to treat the diseased tissue symptomatically, with less trauma and faster recovery, but the appropriate population needs to be selected based on the nature of the cyst.

3. Surgical treatment: Early intervention is recommended when there is a risk of malignancy

If a grade 3 breast cyst is at risk of becoming malignant or the above treatments are ineffective, surgical removal can be performed.

-Cystectomy: Suitable for single cysts, when the nature of the fluid is suspicious or when the cyst is near the critical part of the breast gland, the excision can completely resolve the lesion.

-Partial mastectomy: For larger cystic lesions, surgery is performed to preserve the breast and remove the lesions, minimizing the chance of recurrence while preserving the appearance and function of the breast.

-Total mastectomy: Suitable for cases where polycystic lesions are severe or even cancerous. Further radiotherapy and chemotherapy are usually required after surgery.

4. Lifestyle adjustment and regular check-ups

In addition to medical treatment, a healthy lifestyle and monitoring are also important in the management of breast cysts.

-In terms of diet, you can consume foods rich in high-quality protein, vitamins A, D and E in moderation, reduce high-sugar and high-fat foods, and avoid stimulating breast hormone metabolism.

-Avoid abusing inferior health products or drugs containing estrogen to reduce the burden on the endocrine system. Maintaining a happy mood, regular work and rest, and moderate exercise are also important to promote hormone balance.

-Perform regular ultrasound or mammography examinations to monitor cyst changes and allow for early intervention and treatment.

Grade 3 breast cysts cannot be ignored. It is very important to customize a personalized treatment plan for the condition. If the condition tends to worsen, it is necessary to communicate with professional doctors in time for treatment strategies to avoid delays that may cause more serious consequences.
