What are the causes of breast cysts?

Breast cysts are mainly caused by blockage of breast ducts or accumulation of secretions. They are mostly benign and there is no need to panic. Breast cysts refer to cystic structures containing fluid in the breast. They are soft or slightly hard in texture and may cause swelling and pain during menstruation.

Female breast tissue is affected by hormone levels, especially fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone, which may be a key factor in the formation of cysts. If the hormone levels in the body fluctuate greatly, the breast glands will secrete too much fluid under stimulation. If the ducts are not emptied in time, cysts are likely to form. Excessive stress, lack of sleep or irregular diet may also indirectly affect hormone balance and increase the possibility of breast cysts. Some women, especially those of childbearing age, are more likely to develop breast cysts, which is a common phenomenon.

To prevent and relieve breast cysts, you can start by adjusting your lifestyle, such as maintaining a regular work and rest schedule and avoiding staying up late, which can help maintain a stable endocrine system; reduce the intake of caffeine and high-fat foods, eat more vegetables and fruits rich in fiber; moderate breast massage can help promote the patency of the mammary ducts. If the cyst continues to grow or there is obvious discomfort, you should go to the hospital for a breast ultrasound examination or a doctor's evaluation in time.
