What is the cause of hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids External hemorrhoids are usually caused by local venous dilation or thrombosis caused by hemorrhoids. It is recommended to seek medical attention as soon as possible when the symptoms are severe or accompanied by severe pain.

External hemorrhoids are a type of hemorrhoids that occur under the skin outside the anus and often appear as a local lump or ball. Thrombosed external hemorrhoids are a special form of hemorrhoids, which are caused by poor blood flow in the veins around the anus, forming blood clots and causing local nodules, swelling or pain.

If the lump is small and there is no obvious pain, it may be an ordinary external hemorrhoid, which can usually be cured by maintaining good anal hygiene and avoiding sitting for long periods of time. When external hemorrhoids form blood clots, they will be accompanied by severe stinging pain, especially when defecating. Although such conditions do not affect life, the pain and discomfort may seriously reduce the quality of life. If the lump persists for a long time or recurs repeatedly, skin tags around the anus may gradually appear. This is a non-functional tissue hyperplasia that is harmless but may cause cleaning difficulties or psychological burden.

Ways to relieve hemorrhoids include eating more fiber-rich foods (such as vegetables, fruits, and whole grains), maintaining adequate daily water intake, and reducing pressure on the anus. Developing a habit of regular bowel movements and avoiding squatting and excessive force can prevent the aggravation of external hemorrhoids to a certain extent. If the pain is obvious, you can try using warm water sitz baths or local medications under the guidance of a doctor. If the meat ball suddenly increases in size and is accompanied by severe pain, do not hesitate to seek professional medical help as soon as possible to obtain a more appropriate treatment plan.
