Breast cysts are usually called "breast cysts" in traditional Chinese medicine. They belong to the category of "cyst syndrome" in traditional Chinese medicine. They are mostly caused by emotional disorders, qi and blood disorders, liver depression and qi stagnation, and phlegm and dampness obstruction. They are closely related to endocrine disorders. Traditional Chinese medicine attaches importance to overall conditioning and relieves the symptoms of breast cysts through syndrome differentiation and treatment. Breast cysts usually manifest as local lumps in the breast, which are soft or of medium hardness. There is mild pain when pressing, and the pain may even worsen before and after menstruation. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the main causes include liver qi stagnation caused by emotional distress, phlegm and dampness accumulation caused by improper diet, and blood stasis caused by Chong and Ren disorders. Long-term emotional distress can affect the liver's function of dispersing qi and blood, which in turn leads to poor blood circulation in the breast. Cold and high-fat diets are prone to produce phlegm and dampness, and phlegm and dampness accumulation will further aggravate local breast lesions. Imbalance of qi and blood in women's bodies or irregular menstruation cycles can be the cause of breast cysts. The main principles of TCM treatment of breast ulcers are to soothe the liver and regulate qi, and resolve phlegm and dissipate stagnation. For those with obvious liver qi stagnation, Chaihu Shugan San can be used to regulate emotions; if phlegm and dampness are the main symptoms, Ditan San is recommended to help resolve phlegm and resolve stagnation; if blood stasis is severe, Taohong Siwu Tang can be used to promote blood circulation and resolve stasis. Acupuncture treatment helps improve local qi and blood circulation by stimulating meridians such as the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian and the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian. Daily care is also very important. For example, the diet should be light, avoid high-fat and high-oil foods, and eat more foods that have the effect of soothing the liver and regulating qi, such as oranges and tangerine peels. By adjusting emotions and lifestyles, the possibility of recurrence can be reduced. Although breast cysts are mostly benign, you still need to pay close attention to changes in symptoms, especially when the lump becomes larger, irregular in shape, or accompanied by obvious pain, you should seek medical attention in time to rule out the possibility of breast malignancy. By combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine, actively treating and adjusting your lifestyle, most breast cysts can be effectively controlled. To care for breast health, start by regulating your emotions and balancing your diet, and be your own health management expert. |
