What are the symptoms of hemorrhoids only on external hemorrhoids? The pathology of external hemorrhoids is divided into connective tissue external hemorrhoids, thrombosed external hemorrhoids and varicose external hemorrhoids. Common symptoms of thrombosed external hemorrhoids: excessive force during defecation due to constipation, or after strenuous exercise, causes the external hemorrhoidal vein to rupture, blood to coagulate quickly, and thrombosis to form. There is also a lump, which causes pain when touched, so defecation, sitting, walking, and even coughing will aggravate the pain. Connective tissue external hemorrhoids: The skin flap at the edge of the anus gradually increases in size and has a soft texture. It is generally painless and does not bleed. The only thing you may feel is a foreign body in the anus. Occasionally, it may become swollen and congested, causing pain. After the swelling disappears, the skin remains. Symptoms are varicose external hemorrhoids: mainly due to repeated prolapse of internal hemorrhoids in the middle and late stages, or due to increased abdominal pressure during pregnancy, which leads to obstruction of superficial veins and subcutaneous lymphatic reflux, resulting in expansion and varicose veins of the external hemorrhoidal plexus below the anal canal teeth. There are oval or long swellings locally, which are soft to the touch. When defecation or squatting increases abdominal pressure, the swelling increases in size to dark purple and becomes hard when pressed. After defecation or massage, the swelling can shrink and soften. Inflammatory external hemorrhoids: The cause is damage to the skin around the anus and infection. Anal pain will increase during defecation, blood in the stool, and a small amount of anal secretion. Local examination shows that the anus is swollen, red, obviously congested, tender, and sometimes accompanied by general discomfort and fever. Most patients with external hemorrhoids will experience varying degrees of itching in the anus. And after each bowel movement, they always feel that they cannot wipe it clean, and often contaminate their underwear, because fecal residues and mucus substances will cause certain irritation to the perianal area. At this time, the secretion of the human body's apocrine sweat glands will increase significantly, causing itching and moisture in the perianal area. Patients with perianal external hemorrhoids generally have thrombosis, at which time they will experience sudden pain and obvious swelling. Careful patients will find that there will be round swelling around the anus, and the skin color will also change. It may be purple-blue at first, and then turn into blue-purple. It feels soft to the touch and has obvious pain. After about a week, the swelling will turn into a hard nodule. |
