Is left cervical vertebra fracture serious?

Left tibia fracture is a common disease in the emergency department. There are many causes of this disease. The most common causes are torsional violent injury, three-point bending violent fracture and direct violent injury. If not treated in time, it will cause a series of complications such as delayed fracture healing and infection. If you want to know the severity of the disease, you need to conduct a detailed examination. Common examinations are X-ray examinations, CT examinations, MRI examinations, and B-ultrasound examinations. Most patients do not understand the serious symptoms of left tibia fractures. The following is a detailed introduction.

1. Tibial plateau fracture: When the tibial plateau fracture occurs, the patient will experience symptoms such as knee pain, swelling, and no load on the lower limbs, accompanied by limited knee joint movement, proximal tibia pain, tightness in the calf fascia compartment, and loss of foot sensation.

2. Tibial shaft fracture: Tibial shaft fracture is an open fracture. This type of fracture usually has a large wound area, comminuted fractures, and severe contamination. If the blood vessels are damaged, it will cause local bleeding and nerve damage, leading to distal sensory impairment.

3. Other symptoms: After a tibial shaft fracture, if there is excessive local bleeding, it can easily cause systemic symptoms such as low blood pressure, pale skin, and excessive ventilation.

4. Complications of tibial shaft fracture: If tibial shaft fracture is not treated in time, it will cause many complications. The most common complications are nonunion, poor alignment of fracture ends, compartment syndrome, and unequal length of lower limbs.

5. Complications of tibial plateau fractures: If tibial plateau fractures are not treated correctly, they may cause serious complications such as uneven joint surface, arthritis, knee joint dysfunction, and hamstring artery injury.

The serious symptoms of left tibia fracture are as follows. It can be seen that the disease is very harmful and should be treated promptly after diagnosis. Surgical treatment is generally used clinically, and the most commonly used surgical method is open reduction and internal fixation. The prognosis of left tibia fracture is good through active treatment, and it generally does not affect the service life. In very rare cases, patients with severe conditions and untimely treatment may die of infection.
