The formation of perianal abscess in children is mainly due to bacterial infection. Children's skin is relatively delicate, especially the perianal area. If there is a slight injury or poor hygiene, bacteria can easily take advantage of it and cause abscesses. Perianal abscess refers to a collection of pus around the anus. It is often caused by infection of the anal glands or surrounding tissues. There are multiple glands near the anus, and their ducts open into the skin around the anus. When these ducts are blocked or bacteria invade, abscesses may form. Influencing factors include frequent diarrhea, constipation, or other infectious diseases of the intestines. In the detailed pathological process, due to the inflammatory response of the tissue caused by bacterial infection, immune cells such as monocytes and phagocytes gather at the site of infection, cell destruction occurs and pus is formed. As pus accumulates, the mass gradually increases, causing swelling, redness and pain around the anus. Children may show reluctance to sit, abnormal walking or irritability, which are common symptoms of abscesses. In order to avoid or relieve perianal abscesses, parents should keep the perianal area of children clean and dry. Use warm water and a soft towel when washing, and avoid rubbing vigorously. In terms of diet, provide sufficient fiber and water to ensure normal intestinal peristalsis and help prevent constipation. If children have perianal redness, swelling or suppuration, observe the changes and seek medical attention in time. Under the guidance of a professional doctor, antibiotics or pus drainage may be needed to relieve symptoms. Avoid squeezing or puncturing abscesses by yourself to prevent worsening of infection. |
