How to treat cervical spondylosis yourself

How to treat cervical spondylosis by yourself?

There are many patients with cervical spondylosis. In life, you must keep your cervical spine warm and avoid catching a cold in your neck, which will cause the blood vessels in your head and neck to contract and aggravate the condition. At the same time, if you want to treat cervical spondylosis, you should maintain a good sitting posture in life, correct and improve your bad working posture, and then choose a suitable pillow. Comfortable sleep improvement can effectively improve cervical spondylosis.

1. Maintain a good sitting posture

Correct and improve bad habitual postures at work. Bad working postures not only affect the treatment effect, but are also one of the main causes of the occurrence, development and recurrence of the disease, and must be taken seriously. Such workers should correct bad head and neck postures regularly or in a timely manner, with the time interval not exceeding half an hour, and do some neck health exercises to allow the cervical spine to move and rest in all directions.

2. Choose the right pillow, sleep comfortably, and adjust your sleep

Improper sleeping posture can not only easily cause back and leg pain, but also easily cause or aggravate cervical spondylosis. It is very important to pay attention to improving and adjusting the position of the cervical spine and the hardness of the pillow. If it is correct, it can play a preventive and therapeutic role.

The height of the pillow should be such that the neck does not bend when lying on the back, and does not bend sideways when lying on the side. The pillow is best placed behind the neck, which can maintain the physiological curve of the head and neck and keep the vertebrae inside and outside in a balanced and relaxed state. Alternatively, choose a thin and soft pillow, place it vertically, fold one-third upwards, and place the head at two-thirds. This method can also change the physiological curve of the head and neck.

3. Self-traction therapy

Once you feel neck pain, or radiating pain in the shoulders, back, and upper limbs, you can cross your hands, then raise them above your head and place them on the pillow and neck. At the same time, you need to tilt your head backward, which can also relieve the pressure in the intervertebral space. The principle is to use the upward traction of both hands to open the cervical intervertebral space, restore the posterior protruding nucleus pulposus, and change the cervical joint line to relieve symptoms.
