The best treatment for femoral head necrosis

Femoral head necrosis refers to structural changes and collapse of the femoral head caused by ischemia of the femoral head. There is no "best treatment", but general treatment, drug therapy, physical therapy, surgical treatment and other methods can be used to achieve relief.

1. General treatment: Avoid inducing factors, such as stopping taking hormone drugs and quitting drinking. At the same time, reduce weight-bearing activities and avoid excessive exercise to prevent further damage to the joints. Patients can reduce wear and tear on the affected bones by resting in bed and reducing exercise intensity.

2. Drug treatment: You can use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen sustained-release capsules, etoricoxib tablets, celecoxib capsules, etc. as prescribed by your doctor to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. At the same time, combined use of drugs that promote bone formation, such as Xianling Gubao capsules and alendronate sodium tablets, can inhibit bone resorption and increase bone formation.

3. Physical therapy: including hot compress, massage, physical therapy, etc., can promote local blood circulation and relieve pain. At the same time, combined with acupuncture treatment, acupuncture points on the body, accelerate local blood circulation and improve nutrition supply to the femoral head.

4. Surgical treatment: For early and middle stage femoral head necrosis, the purpose is to prevent femoral head collapse and delay the occurrence of hip arthritis. Specific methods include core decompression, vascularized bone flap transplantation, head and neck window compression bone grafting, tantalum rod or allogeneic fibula support, etc. When femoral head necrosis develops to the late stage and conservative treatment is ineffective, artificial hip replacement surgery is an effective treatment method.

During the treatment period, you should go to the hospital for regular checkups to understand the recovery of the disease and adjust the treatment plan in time. Keeping a happy mood and keeping your body and mind comfortable is conducive to physical recovery. Do appropriate physical exercise, such as jogging or yoga, control your weight, and avoid being overweight and aggravating joint injuries.
