Causes and treatments of cystitis

Cystitis is usually caused by infection. If the symptoms are severe, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time to avoid worsening of the condition.

This refers to inflammation of the bladder lining, which is common in women because the urethra is short and located close to the anus, making it easier for bacteria to enter. According to statistics, E. coli is the main culprit of cystitis, but stress, decreased immunity, drug stimulation or bladder damage may also be triggers.

Early symptoms include frequent urination, urgency and pain, sometimes accompanied by lower abdominal discomfort. In severe cases, urine may be cloudy, bloody or fever may occur. Acute cystitis generally has obvious symptoms, while chronic cystitis may recur and the symptoms are not as obvious as in the acute stage, which can be easily ignored.

To relieve symptoms, drink plenty of water to help flush bacteria from the urinary tract; avoid holding urine and go to the toilet frequently; it is recommended to clean private parts and choose breathable underwear. If obvious pain occurs or symptoms continue to worsen, seek medical attention in a timely manner and use antibiotics under the guidance of a doctor to ensure complete cure and avoid the risk of recurrence.
