Is intravenous drip effective for hemorrhoids?

Is intravenous drip effective for hemorrhoids?

Treatments for hemorrhoids generally include conservative medication and surgical treatment. Conservative medication mainly uses a combination of topical medication and oral medication. Topical medications are generally used in traditional Chinese medicines for clearing heat and cooling blood, detoxifying, reducing swelling and relieving pain. If the hemorrhoids are severe and conservative medication is not effective, surgical resection may also be an option. Surgical methods for hemorrhoids mainly include external peeling and internal ligation of mixed hemorrhoids and external treatment and resection, which can also be combined with sclerosant injection for internal hemorrhoids.

Is it effective for hemorrhoids?

1. For the treatment of hemorrhoids, intravenous drip is generally ineffective.

2. Intravenous infusion usually refers to intravenous infusion. Intravenous infusion mainly involves the injection of antibiotics or glucose, vitamins, amino acids, fat emulsion, etc., mainly to treat or prevent infection, maintain water and electrolyte balance or provide energy for the body.

3. Hemorrhoids are usually caused by venous reflux obstruction in the rectum and anal canal. During treatment, spicy food is generally forbidden to reduce gastrointestinal irritation. At the same time, local application of hemorrhoid cream can control symptoms without the need for intravenous infusion treatment.

4. If hemorrhoid edema or pain is severe, intravenous drip is needed to relieve these complications.

How to distinguish the severity of hemorrhoids?

1. The severity of hemorrhoids is generally divided into three levels. Once the internal hemorrhoids prolapse or are not accompanied by prolapse of internal hemorrhoids, there is only mild bleeding in the stool or pain.

2. After the second-degree internal hemorrhoids prolapse, the patient does not need to push them back manually as they can shrink on their own.

3. If the third-degree hemorrhoids are large and the patient needs to manually push them back every time they fall off, the clinical indications for surgery may have been met.

4. If the patient's condition is between the second or third degree, direct surgical resection is recommended to avoid further aggravation of the condition.
