What are the typical symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis?

Rheumatoid arthritis is a manifestation of rheumatic fever. Rheumatic fever is a systemic abnormal reaction disease caused by group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus infection. At the beginning of the disease, there is often a history of infection such as erysipelas. Rheumatic fever has an acute onset and is common in adolescents. Rheumatic arthritis can invade the heart, causing rheumatic heart disease, fever, subcutaneous nodules and rash.

Rheumatoid arthritis has two characteristics:

First, the joints become red, swollen, hot, and painful and cannot be moved. The affected areas are often the joints of the lower limbs, such as the knees, hips, and ankles, followed by the shoulders, elbows, and wrists. Small joints of the hands and feet are rare.

Second, the pain is uncertain. It may be a joint attack for a period of time and a joint discomfort for a period of time. However, the pain does not last long and can subside in a few days. Blood tests show that blood deposition is accelerated, the resistance "0" titer is elevated, and the rheumatoid factor is negative. After recovery, there is rarely a recurrence, and the joints do not have deformities. Some patients may have heart disease.

1. Pain: Joint pain is the most common symptom of rheumatism. The joints of the whole body may ache, but pain in the limbs and trunk may lead to visceral and nervous system diseases.

2. Muscles: Pain symptoms may also occur, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, mixed connective tissue disease, dermatomyositis, etc.

3. Irregular fever: Irregular fever will occur before rheumatic disease occurs, and there will be no chills. Antibiotic treatment is ineffective, but rapid erythrocyte sedimentation rate may also occur, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, acute neutrophilic febrile dermatosis, adult Still's disease, seborrheic dermatitis, etc.

4. Skin and mucous membrane symptoms: rash, oral ulcers, skin ulcers, reticular cyanosis, eye symptoms, etc. Rash, Sjögren's syndrome, Behcet's disease, sebaceous membrane inflammation, etc.

5. Raynaud's sign: The fingertips turn white when exposed to cold or emotional changes, then turn purple, and finally turn red accompanied by numbness, pain, and severe skin ulcers. It can be seen in rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
