Is a breast cyst a nodule?

Breast cysts are fluid cystic changes in the breast glands. Most of them are hard to the touch, and some "red flags" such as rapid enlargement, fixed, irregular borders, etc. need special attention.

Whether it is a cyst or a nodule, regular observation is key. If the cyst is small and asymptomatic, it usually does not require treatment, but if it is painful or significantly enlarged, the doctor may take measures such as fluid extraction to relieve pressure. For nodules, the treatment method needs to be determined according to the nature, which may include regular monitoring or biopsy. Regular breast self-examination and ultrasound screening are important measures to prevent breast problems from escalating, and female friends must pay attention to it.
