Symptoms of congenital heart insufficiency

Symptoms of congenital heart insufficiency

Congenital heart insufficiency usually leads to hypoxia and circulatory disorders in the body. It is recommended to seek medical attention as soon as possible for comprehensive evaluation and treatment.

This condition is caused by an abnormality in the structure of the heart that prevents blood from flowing normally. This may be a problem with the connection between the arteries or veins, or an abnormality in the separation between the atria and ventricles. Causes of insufficient blood flow include narrow blood vessels, developmental defects in parts of the heart, or incomplete separation of the heart.

Symptoms vary from person to person. Infants and young children may experience crying, difficulty feeding, purple lips, or shortness of breath; older children or adults may experience dizziness, fatigue, chest tightness, or decreased exercise tolerance. They may also be accompanied by growth retardation, cold hands and feet, etc. Some severe cases may show obvious signs of difficulty breathing or heart failure.

Avoid strenuous exercise and monitor heart health regularly. If you notice related symptoms, please consult a cardiovascular specialist as soon as possible and confirm the diagnosis through echocardiography or cardiac catheterization. At the same time, according to the condition, you can improve your quality of life through drug treatment, surgical adjustment or other supportive measures.
