Symptoms of congenital hydronephrosis in children

Congenital hydronephrosis in children may cause obstruction of urine flow. It is recommended that children who show symptoms see a doctor as soon as possible to clarify the condition.

This is because congenital hydronephrosis refers to the accumulation of fluid in the kidneys due to poor urine drainage at birth, which is usually related to abnormal urinary tract development. Symptoms may appear soon after birth, such as difficulty urinating, crying and restlessness, abnormal urine color, or parents finding a lump when touching the child's abdomen. If the fluid accumulation is more serious, frequent infections and fever may occur.
