What are the early symptoms of aneurysm? How to check? Aneurysms are classified into true, false and dissecting aneurysms, which are mostly caused by arteriosclerosis or trauma, and syphilis is rare. They can occur in the carotid artery, subclavian artery, axillary artery, brachial artery, radial artery, iliac artery, femoral artery and popliteal artery, with the femoral artery and popliteal artery being the most common sites. This disease often occurs in patients with a history of arteriosclerosis, hypertension or trauma. 1. Often have a history of arteriosclerosis, hypertension or trauma. 2. Insufficient blood supply to the distal arteries of the affected limb. If the tumor is large and compresses nearby nerves and veins, limb pain, numbness, varicose veins, and swelling may occur. Carotid artery aneurysm can cause insufficient blood supply to the brain and compress adjacent tissues, causing hoarseness, choking, dyspnea, and Horner's syndrome. 3. There is a round or fusiform mass along the course of the artery, with a smooth surface, tense and elastic, expansive pulsation, a fine tremor, and a systolic blowing murmur. When the proximal end of the artery is compressed, the mass shrinks, and the pulsation, tremor and murmur disappear. Hospitals usually use the following methods to check for aneurysms: 1. Color Doppler ultrasound examination can determine the presence, location and size of an aneurysm and can be used as the main method for screening and follow-up. 2. CTA can confirm the diagnosis of aneurysms, and can determine the size, location, relationship with surrounding tissues, calcification of the arterial wall, thrombus within the aneurysm, and hematoma formed after aneurysm rupture, providing more accurate information for further surgery. 3. The role of MRA in diagnosing aneurysms is roughly the same as that of CTA. MRA can be selected for patients with impaired renal function. 4. If the above three examinations cannot make a diagnosis or cannot clarify the relationship between the aneurysm and other important arteries, a DSA examination should be performed. Most patients with thoracic and abdominal aneurysms do not feel any symptoms, and their aneurysms are only discovered during systemic examinations including B-mode ultrasound or computerized tomography (CT). |
