Animated demonstration of breast cyst surgery

Breast cyst surgery is usually performed in a minimally invasive manner to remove or drain the cyst to relieve symptoms and avoid complications. This surgery is not complicated and can often be done under local anesthesia, with a short recovery time.

Breast cysts are a common benign breast lesion, usually a cystic structure caused by obstruction of the breast duct or accumulation of secretions. This cyst may cause discomfort such as breast pain, tenderness or skin pressure depending on the size and location. Some small cysts may have no symptoms for a long time and are only discovered during physical examinations or imaging examinations.

The surgical approach may vary depending on the size and shape of the cyst and the severity of the symptoms. A common approach is cyst aspiration, which involves extracting the cyst fluid with a fine needle. This approach works well for small cysts that do not have specific hyperplastic changes. If the cyst is large or recurring, surgery may be required to remove the cyst and surrounding tissue. During the procedure, the doctor will make an incision along the areola to minimize scarring and use minimally invasive instruments to remove the cyst. In certain cases, a biopsy may also be performed to rule out other potential lesions.

In daily life, some adjustments in diet and habits can also help improve breast health. For example, maintain a light diet, avoid excessive drinking or eating high-fat and high-hormone foods; pay attention to emotional management, reduce stress, and avoid endocrine disorders. If you find an unexplained lump or persistent pain in your breast, seek medical diagnosis in time, so that you can better understand the condition and develop a suitable treatment plan.
