How to take care of ankylosing spondylitis

Ankylosing spondylitis is a very harmful disease that is hidden in the early stage and is a common chronic arthritis disease in clinical practice. After the disease occurs, the possibility of disability is greater, so patients must detect the disease early and treat it early. But if you want to recover as soon as possible, it is still not good to rely solely on treatment, and patients also need to do daily maintenance. How to maintain ankylosing spondylitis? It mainly includes the following four aspects.

1. Psychological maintenance:

Patients will be depressed during the illness, which is not conducive to recovery. Therefore, patients need psychological counseling during the treatment process, which can help patients understand the disease correctly. Follow the doctor's guidance for treatment and master the method of self-care.

2. Diet maintenance:

During the illness, you should pay attention to diet conditioning, ensure the nutritional needs of three meals a day, and pay attention to the intake of protein and vitamins. It is recommended that patients eat more meat, eggs, milk, vegetables and fruits.

3. Suitable bed:

In order to keep the patient in the correct physiological posture during the illness, the patient must pay attention to choosing a suitable bed, which can reduce the weight of the spine and avoid bending over for a long time. Especially for obese people, it is important to control their weight.

4. Active exercise:

Patients can participate in some physical exercise during treatment, but they must exercise moderately, which can improve joint disorders and help delay the disease. Hip flexion and extension exercises can be done every day. The amount of activity each time should be adjusted to ensure that joint symptoms do not worsen the next day to improve blood circulation.

The above maintenance methods can only relieve pain and can be used as an auxiliary treatment for ankylosing spondylitis, but they cannot achieve the purpose of radical cure. If you want to treat ankylosing spondylitis, you should choose a regular hospital and adopt scientific treatment methods. During the treatment process, you should strengthen exercise, ensure the regularity of life, maintain a happy mood, improve physical function, and avoid the invasion of wind, cold, and dampness.
