How to treat heel pain and bone hyperplasia

Heel bone hyperplasia can stimulate pain in the surrounding tendon tissue, but it will not have other serious effects and will not be life-threatening. This treatment is mainly to eliminate symptoms. Hot compresses, hot water foot baths or ultrasound treatments can be used to relieve pain symptoms. At the same time, walking can be reduced to avoid aggravation of local irritation, and recovery can be achieved slowly.

Bone hyperplasia refers to proliferative lesions that occur in joints such as the cervical or lumbar spine, knee joints, and foot joints. People usually call bone hyperplasia in the above-mentioned areas "bone spurs." If it is simple bone hyperplasia, most medical experts do not consider it a disease. Only when the hyperplastic bone is in the form of osteophytes, compresses the nerves near the bone tissue, and causes numbness, pain, and motor dysfunction in the limbs, can it be called bone hyperplasia. If it occurs on the heel, it is heel bone hyperplasia.

Bone hyperplasia is caused by chronic bone degeneration. Bone spurs may be related to excessive physical activity, exercise, age and bone calcium deficiency. In particular, improper activities and exercise can cause excessive wear of joint bones, resulting in cartilage damage, imbalance of joint force, local tissue relaxation and instability, and aseptic inflammation, which can lead to bone spurs.

Whether it is the cervical spine, lumbar spine or other joints, if bone hyperplasia occurs, it can be verified by X-ray examination. If it cannot be diagnosed, CT or MRI can be used to confirm the diagnosis.

The treatments for bone hyperplasia include: drug therapy, external application therapy, injection therapy, blockade therapy, bloodletting therapy, acupuncture therapy, massage therapy, irradiation therapy, drug fumigation therapy, kneading therapy, and surgical treatment.
