How to treat kidney stone cysts effectively

The treatment of kidney stones and renal cysts requires an individualized plan based on the specific condition. It is recommended to conduct evaluation and treatment under the guidance of a professional doctor.

Kidney stones are crystals caused by excessive concentrations of certain minerals in the urine, while kidney cysts are fluid sacs in the kidneys. Kidney stones can cause pain, urinary tract obstruction and other problems, and most simple kidney cysts have little impact on health, but some complex cysts may compress kidney tissue or increase the risk of infection.

For kidney stones, small ones can be excreted by drinking more water, adjusting diet (reducing oxalate and high-calcium foods), and medications prescribed by doctors. If the stones are large or cause obstruction, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, minimally invasive surgery, etc. may be required. For renal cysts, if there are no symptoms, observation is usually done. If the cyst compresses surrounding tissues or complications occur, puncture drainage or surgical resection may be considered.

Drink plenty of water (2-3 liters per day) to keep your urine diluted and reduce the risk of kidney stones. Eat a balanced diet and avoid eating too much high-salt and high-protein food. Have regular physical examinations to detect abnormalities in time. If you have low back pain, hematuria or other discomfort, you should consult a urologist as soon as possible.
