Causes of hemorrhoidal bleeding in the morning

Hemorrhoid bleeding during urination in the morning may be caused by the capillaries in the hemorrhoid area being ruptured by friction or excessive local pressure caused by straining during bowel movements. The bleeding is usually bright red and may be accompanied by swelling and pain, and different measures need to be taken depending on the severity of the symptoms.

Hemorrhoids are a common anorectal disease, which can be divided into internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids and mixed hemorrhoids. As there are abundant blood vessels around the anus, long-term sitting, improper diet or excessive force during bowel movements can cause local venous congestion and form hemorrhoids. The mucous membrane on the surface of hemorrhoids is thin, and morning defecation can easily cause bleeding. In some cases, constipation or diarrhea can aggravate this condition.

If the amount of bleeding is small, usually stops after the bowel movement is completed, and there is no particularly severe pain, this may be a manifestation of internal hemorrhoids. However, if the bleeding is frequent or heavy, there may be a possibility of hemorrhoid rupture or other diseases. At the same time, poor bowel movements and obvious swelling can also cause local itching or pain. Note that hemorrhoidal bleeding in the morning should not be ignored to avoid long-term repeated bleeding leading to anemia or other health risks.

In terms of diet, you can increase your intake of dietary fiber, such as green leafy vegetables, whole grains and fruits, which can help relieve constipation. Drinking plenty of water every day and doing moderate exercise, such as walking or yoga, can promote intestinal health. It is also important to clean the anus regularly and avoid sitting for long periods of time. If bleeding is heavy or accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, it is recommended to see a doctor to rule out the possibility of other serious diseases.
