Urinary tract infection, bleeding in urine, back pain

If a urinary tract infection causes blood in the urine and lower back pain, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible, as this may indicate that the infection is already serious.

Urinary tract infection refers to the invasion of pathogens into the urinary system, causing an inflammatory response. It is common in women, but men can also be affected. If the infection spreads to the parts above the bladder, such as the kidneys, symptoms such as lower back pain and blood in the urine may occur. This is the body's "help signal".

Bleeding in urine may be caused by irritation of the bladder or urethral mucosa, while back pain indicates that the infection has spread to the kidneys, increasing the possibility of pyelonephritis. Other symptoms include frequent urination, urgency, burning sensation during urination, and even fever, nausea and other general discomfort. So don't ignore these changes, especially when hematuria and back pain exist at the same time, delaying treatment will increase the risk of spreading the infection.

Drinking plenty of water is the basis for relieving urinary tract symptoms, which can help accelerate the excretion of bacteria; at the same time, reduce irritating drinks such as coffee and alcohol. It is also important to avoid holding urine, keep the vulva clean, and wear breathable underwear. If the symptoms persist or worsen, especially if you already have low back pain, you should go to the hospital for examination first and follow the doctor's advice for medication.
