How to treat synovitis in children and what causes it

How is synovitis treated in children? What causes it?

1. Knee synovitis is an aseptic inflammation caused by knee sprains and various joint injuries. Abnormal synovial function will lead to the inability to produce and absorb joint fluid normally, and the knee joint will have effusion. The morphological changes of the synovium will also invade the knee cartilage. If not treated in time, it will lead to knee osteoarthritis and cause a great disability crisis. Childhood synovitis is a disease with a higher incidence in boys, especially boys aged 3-6. This is the most active period and they especially like to run and jump. However, due to the immature femoral development of children at this age, if the energy is too strong and too noisy, it may cause joint capsule damage and lead to synovitis.

2. Synovitis in children is mainly caused by immature development of the femoral head, loose joint capsule, excessive abduction and rotational movement due to strenuous jumping, joint capsule injury or extrusion, viral infection, synovial edema, and aseptic inflammation of the hip joint. The cause may be related to viral infection, trauma, bacterial infection, and allergic reaction, which may be acute or slow. Synovitis in children is generally caused by acute upper respiratory tract infection or cold symptoms in children, viruses or infectious substances entering the bloodstream, and the bloodstream irritates the synovium of the hip joint, causing acute inflammation such as synovial congestion and exudation, causing hip synovitis.

3. Children's synovitis is generally caused by a cold, which causes viruses and bacteria in the body and inflammation, so first treat the cold and give the child some cold granules, etc. It may also be caused by excessive exercise, so parents should spend more energy to take care of their children. In addition, synovitis is generally calcium deficient, so pay attention to calcium supplementation. You can drink a bottle of milk every day and eat more soybeans or soy products. Calcium is very important for children to grow bones. In this case, local activities should be appropriately restricted and more rest should be paid attention to. It can be combined with local hot compresses, massage, baking and other treatments. Pay attention to keeping warm and avoid cold stimulation. Eat more fresh vegetables, fruits and coarse grains, and try to eat less meat.
