Things not to eat when you have breast cysts

Patients with breast cysts need to limit high-fat and hormone-rich foods in their diet, as these foods may cause fluctuations in estrogen levels, which may adversely affect the healthy management of the cysts.

Breast cysts are a common benign breast disease, usually caused by mammary lobular hyperplasia or endocrine disorders. The cysts themselves are mostly round or oval, and the contents are usually cystic fluid. In a few cases, breast hyperplasia may occur. In some cases, high estrogen levels may stimulate the further development of cysts or aggravate symptoms, so it is particularly important to control diet.

The intake of high-fat foods such as animal offal, fatty meat and fried foods should be reduced. These foods will not only increase the body's fat content, but may also promote estrogen production, which is related to the occurrence and development of breast diseases. At the same time, eat less processed foods containing hormone additives, such as some dairy products, farmed poultry, etc., because these foods may contain residual hormones. Sweets and high-sugar drinks should also be avoided as much as possible. Excessive sugar may aggravate inflammatory reactions and indirectly affect cysts. Alcoholic beverages are also not recommended because drinking alcohol will increase the sensitivity of breast tissue and increase the irritation.

In terms of dietary choices, it is recommended to eat a balanced diet and eat more foods rich in dietary fiber, such as whole grains, vegetables and fruits, which can help reduce excess estrogen in the body. Appropriately increase the intake of foods rich in high-quality protein, such as fish and soy products; drinking antioxidant drinks such as green tea may also help improve the body's metabolic environment. At the same time, please note that dietary adjustment is only an auxiliary means. If the breast cyst grows rapidly or is obviously painful, you should seek medical attention in time to rule out the possibility of malignant diseases.
