Lumbar fracture is also called lumbar vertebral fracture. The lumbar vertebra controls our entire nerve and median nerve. Our spine is supported by the lumbar vertebra on weekdays. If there is a problem with our lumbar vertebra, then our entire spine will be affected and the body will become weak. So what are the symptoms of lumbar transverse process fracture? What are the following points we should pay attention to on weekdays? The clinical symptoms of lumbar fracture vary greatly depending on the injury site, degree, range, time, age and individual differences. The following aspects should be noted in common: 1. The pain is severe and unique to patients with fractures. It is often more obvious when moving the trunk or changing body position. Therefore, most patients cannot stand or walk. 2. Tenderness, percussion pain and conductive pain. There are very obvious tenderness and percussion pain in the fractured part. The latter is generally not examined to avoid increasing the patient's pain and is consistent with the location of the fracture. For simple vertebral fractures, the tenderness is deeper and is mainly transmitted through the spinous process. For lamina and spinous process fractures, the tenderness is superficial. Except for simple spinous process and transverse process fractures, there is generally indirect percussion pain, and the pain site is consistent with the injury site. 3. Limited movement Regardless of the type of fracture, the spine will have obvious limited movement. During the examination, the patient should not be asked to sit up or twist the body, nor should the patient be asked to move in all directions, including active and passive, so as to avoid aggravating the displacement of the fracture and causing secondary injuries, or even paraplegia. 4. Neurological symptoms Lumbar fractures affect the spinal canal, and the degree of symptoms and signs may include complete paraplegia, cone injury, partial paraplegia, and root involvement. Necessary neurological examinations should be performed on every patient with spinal injury in order to achieve a complete and comprehensive diagnosis. The symptoms of lumbar transverse process fracture are different from those of simple lumbar fracture. The patient will experience extreme pain, and even the whole body is in pain. The general causes of fractures are pain or squeezing or being hit by heavy objects, which are the main factors causing it. |
