How to treat cervical spondylosis

Cervical spondylosis is mainly caused by degenerative lesions of the cervical spine. When the cervical spine is strained for a long time, bone hyperplasia or intervertebral disc herniation occurs, the spinal cord, nerve roots, vertebral arteries and sympathetic nerves will be compressed, leading to symptoms such as neck and back pain, limb numbness and weakness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, etc. For the treatment of cervical spondylosis, you must first develop a good posture and avoid sitting with your head down for a long time. When symptoms occur, some drugs can be used to treat the symptoms, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, nerve nutrition drugs, cartilage nutrition drugs, etc. It can also be treated with hot compress physiotherapy, cervical traction, neck functional exercises and other methods, which play a positive role in improving symptoms and delaying the progression of the disease. When accompanied by severe symptoms of nerve or spinal cord compression, surgical treatment may be required.

Complications of cervical spondylosis

Cervical spondylosis is a common clinical disease, which can be divided into seven types: cervical type, nerve root type, spinal cord type, vertebral artery type, sympathetic nerve type, esophageal type, and mixed type. The clinical manifestations are different, but generally cause head and neck pain, radiculopathy caused by nerve compression, limb numbness, limb weakness, muscle atrophy, paralysis, etc. Many cervical spondylosis require surgical treatment. Postoperative complications mainly include tracheal, vascular damage, carotid artery, jugular vein damage and other tissue injuries around the cervical spine. Laryngeal recurvical nerve damage and laryngeal nerve level damage lead to hoarseness and difficulty swallowing, pleural damage leads to pneumothorax, spinal cord and nerve damage, paraplegia and other sensory disorders.

Diet therapy for cervical spondylosis

Cervical spondylosis is mainly caused by degenerative lesions of the cervical spine. For health, we should pay attention to spicy food, eat less high-fat, high-calorie, fried and grilled foods, eat less high-sugar and high-salt foods, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.
