How to treat patients with breast nodules

The treatment method for breast nodules needs to be determined based on the nature and size of the nodules and the specific situation of the patient.

Breast nodules refer to small lumps in the breast, which can be divided into benign and malignant. Most of them are benign lesions, such as breast fibroadenomas, breast cysts or fibrocystic changes. These benign lesions usually do not threaten life, but malignant nodules may be related to breast cancer, so accurate diagnosis is important. Commonly used examination methods include ultrasound, mammography and histological biopsy when necessary.

Doctors will adopt different treatment methods for different types of breast nodules. For benign nodules, small and asymptomatic nodules usually only need regular observation; if the nodules are large, cause obvious discomfort or affect the appearance, surgical removal can be chosen. For malignant or highly suspected malignant nodules, clinical treatment is often carried out through further surgery, drug therapy (such as chemotherapy, endocrine therapy) or even radiotherapy. Some high-risk patients may need close follow-up or early intervention to reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Daily care is also very important. Pay attention to maintaining healthy living habits, such as a balanced diet, regular work and rest, and proper exercise. You can also reduce stimulation to the breasts, such as avoiding excessive massage. You can regularly self-check breast changes to seize the opportunity for early detection. If you find abnormal changes in your breasts, such as asymmetrical shape, skin dimpling, or abnormal nipple secretions, you should consult a professional in time to clarify the cause and further deal with it.
