Does propolis have an effect on breast hyperplasia?

Does propolis have an effect on breast hyperplasia?

Propolis has no clear therapeutic effect on breast hyperplasia, but it may have the potential to assist in regulation. Breast hyperplasia is a common proliferative change in breast tissue, which is often related to fluctuations in hormone levels and stress in the body. Although propolis is rich in a variety of active ingredients, there is currently insufficient evidence to prove that it has a direct therapeutic effect on breast hyperplasia.

Fibrocystic breast disease is actually a non-pathological phenomenon caused by an overreaction of breast tissue to estrogen or progesterone. In most cases, it manifests as symptoms such as breast tenderness and lumps, especially in the early stages of the menstrual cycle. Although this is usually a benign phenomenon, severe symptoms may affect the quality of life. Propolis is a naturally derived substance whose main ingredients include polyphenol compounds and flavonoids. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory functions. Some studies have shown that it may be beneficial in relieving chronic inflammation, but more research is needed to prove its effectiveness in fibrocystic breast disease.

Although propolis may indirectly improve the discomfort caused by inflammation by regulating inflammatory response and anti-oxidation, it cannot directly change the process of breast hyperplasia itself. If you have breast hyperplasia, you can start with your lifestyle, such as adjusting your diet, appropriately reducing the intake of high-fat and high-sugar foods, and increasing the intake of dietary fiber; maintaining a regular work and rest schedule; avoiding long-term mental stress, and avoiding excessive caffeine or alcohol intake to reduce breast pain.

If the symptoms of breast hyperplasia continue to worsen, or if there are suspected malignant changes (such as fixed breast lumps, skin depressions, or abnormal nipple secretions, etc.), it is best to consult a doctor in time. At the same time, it is not recommended to rely on propolis or other health products instead of scientific treatment. It is more important to correctly understand breast hyperplasia and pay attention to the improvement of living habits than to simply rely on a certain substance.
