What is hemorrhoids and what to do about it

What is hemorrhoids and what to do about it?

As the saying goes, "Nine out of ten people have hemorrhoids", it can be seen that the incidence of hemorrhoids in people's daily lives is very high. Although most people have hemorrhoids, if there are no abnormal symptoms in the body, no treatment is needed. Just adjust your diet and prevent problems such as constipation. For hemorrhoid patients, accompanied by symptoms such as blood in the stool, anal itching or wetness, you should learn more about the common sense of hemorrhoids and actively treat the symptoms.

What are hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids are not acne, and the essence of their lesions is the pathological hypertrophy or displacement of the anal cushions. The anal cushions are a normal structure of everyone's body and have very important physiological functions, with delicate control of feces and keen senses, but also play an important role in controlling intestinal substances.

Blood vessels are the main component of anal cushions, but there is no clear clinical distinction regarding the nature of the blood vessels. Most people believe that these blood vessels are mainly venous vessels. From the perspective of clinical research, from specimens removed from hemorrhoid sites, the structure of the blood vessel wall is half of the tube wall, one arterial wall structure is very thick, and the other half is very thin. Hemorrhoidal lesions can be diagnosed as pathological hypertrophy of anal cushions, which is a varicose lesion dominated by venous vessels.

What to do if hemorrhoids become inflamed?

Since the main component of the hemorrhoids is blood vessels, they have strong anti-infection ability, so the hemorrhoids are not prone to inflammatory reactions. The occurrence of local inflammatory reactions in hemorrhoids is often related to acute thrombosis. At this time, the lesion site will have concomitant aseptic inflammation, edema or acute thrombosis. For this inflammatory reaction, patients can accelerate the absorption of wound thrombosis through sitz baths, hemorrhoid creams, etc., to achieve the purpose of anti-inflammatory. Heat-clearing, detoxifying, cooling blood and hemostatic drugs or drugs that improve microcirculation can also be used to accelerate the elimination of inflammation.

Of course, the problem of hemorrhoid inflammation in a small number of patients is related to local bacterial infection of the wound. For such patients, while taking Chinese medicine for clearing heat and detoxification, some antibiotics or Bactroban drugs can be applied locally to better solve the problem of local inflammation.
