What are the symptoms of hemorrhoids?

Symptoms of hemorrhoids include blood in the stool, hemorrhoid prolapse, pain, mucus discharge, and itching. When these symptoms occur, we should pay attention and go to the hospital to check whether they are related to hemorrhoids. Early treatment of hemorrhoids is very critical, and don't miss the best time for treatment.

1. Blood in stool: No pain, occurs intermittently, and bright red blood will flow out during bowel movements. This is a common early symptom of internal hemorrhoids or mixed hemorrhoids. Sometimes there is a small amount of blood on the surface of the stool, and sometimes there is dripping blood or spurting blood.

2. Hemorrhoid prolapse: In this case, there will be blood in the stool first. If it is not treated well, it will prolapse. Due to the increase in the size of hemorrhoids, the stool is squeezed during defecation, gradually separated from the muscle layer and out of the anus.

3. Pain: Simple internal hemorrhoids do not cause much pain. Sometimes you may just feel anal swelling and difficulty in defecation. If there is inflammation and swelling, or hemorrhoids are thrombosed or incarcerated, there will be obvious pain.

4. Mucus outflow: Under the long-term stimulation of hemorrhoids, the secretion of the rectal mucosa will increase. In the late stage, due to the relaxation of the anal sphincter, secretions often flow out of the anus. It is easy to flow out, and if the situation is more serious, there will be secretions even without feces.

5. Itching: Due to irritation caused by secretions or hemorrhoids, the area around the anus may become wet and unclean, causing long-term itching, and in severe cases, warts may form.

We have a certain understanding of the above symptoms of hemorrhoids. If there are similar situations, we should consider whether there are hemorrhoids. Timely treatment is the key. In addition to the correct treatment method, you also need to have a reasonable eating habit, avoid eating some spicy and irritating foods, mainly light. Don't sit for a long time, and do a combination of work and rest.
