How to treat breast cysts effectively

How to treat breast cysts effectively

Breast cysts generally do not require treatment, but when obvious symptoms appear or continue to develop, targeted treatment methods are needed based on the specific circumstances.

Breast cysts are a common benign breast lesion that manifests as small fluid sacs in breast tissue, usually related to fluctuations in hormone levels in the body. The cysts may increase in size and cause obvious swelling and pain during a woman's ovulation period or before and after her menstrual period, while the symptoms may ease or even disappear after her menstrual period. Most breast cysts will not turn into cancer, but they may sometimes cause discomfort or psychological stress.

If the breast cyst is small and asymptomatic, no intervention may be needed, only regular monitoring. Ultrasound examinations can accurately determine the size, shape and nature of the cyst. For larger cysts, or if pain or pressure recurs, aspiration can be performed to relieve symptoms. If the cyst fluid is clear or light yellow and there are no signs of infection, a single aspiration can achieve good results; however, if the aspirated fluid is found to be turbid or the cyst recurs, further examination and evaluation are required.

Pay attention to maintaining breast health. Reduce the intake of high-fat and high-sugar foods and increase the proportion of fruits, vegetables and whole grains to help regulate estrogen levels in the body. Avoid excessive mental stress to help stabilize hormone fluctuations. It is recommended to develop a habit of regular self-examination and seek medical attention in time if you find any abnormalities in your breasts. After confirming breast cysts, you should also follow professional advice and conduct regular follow-up.
